<h2>New 2023 census data&nbsp;</h2>We have added 2023 data on individuals and dwellings:<ul><li>Wide range of new variables including gender, languages, overseas born, religion, children and disabilities.</li><li>Small area data (SA3, SA2, wards, urban areas, and custom areas)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><h2>New functionality helps you slice and dice your data in multiple ways&nbsp;</h2>You can now:&nbsp;<ul><li>See a summary of key indicators for your area in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census">Overview</a> page. Use the table to drill-down into the details of an indicator and the map to drill-down geographically.&nbsp;</li><li>View totals for all variables in your area in a new <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/total-counts/population?census=wellington-city">Total counts</a> page.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Focus on a small area including wards, SA3s or SA2s using the new <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census?census=mount-victoria-sa3-2023">Census area selector</a>.</li><li>Focus on an indicator (eg ethnicity) in your area and see how it has changed over time or how it compares to another area in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/indicator/broad-age-group?compare=new-zealand&amp;census=wellington-city">Indicators</a> page.&nbsp;</li><li>Drill down into that indicator and see how the composition of that indicator has changed over time in your area or how it compares to another area in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/drill-down/ethnicity/maori?census=wellington-city">Indicator drill-down</a> page.&nbsp;</li><li>See how your area compares against other comparable areas for all indicators in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/compare-areas/across-peers/broad-age-group/under-15-years?census=wellington-city">Compare areas | Across my peers</a> page.&nbsp;</li><li>See how an indicator is spread across small areas within your parent area in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/compare-areas/within-area/broad-age-group/under-15-years?census=wellington-city">Compare areas | Within my area</a> page.&nbsp;</li><li>Download all the census data for your and other areas in the <a href="https://rep.infometrics.co.nz/wellington-city/census/data">Data</a> page.&nbsp;</li></ul><h2>Next data update&nbsp;</h2>Stats NZ will be publishing 2023 census data on families and households on 7 November 2024 and we will add the data to the Census module shortly thereafter.&nbsp;
